I'm writing a little early this week since I had my appointment a little early. I'm calling this my 28 week blog but technically it's from yesterday - 27 weeks 5 days. :-) Everything looked pretty darn good at my appointment. My blood pressure is at an all time low (since starting my visits there...last appointment it was 144/70). It was 123/68 which was amazing! What a difference being off work and resting has made with that! My cervix length went down a smidge but still looking good at 3.8 cm. (they start to worry at 2.5) The babies look great. The only thing is they are both breech now (head up - which I can totally tell - I feel like I have a noggin under each rib and turns out I do!! LOL). SO with them both being breech we got the c-section talk. Pretty much it was they still have time to turn...not a lot of time but they do have time and we need Walker head down to try to go without the c-section. He said we'll be picking out a date I believe at the 36 week appointment. SO we'll see what happens. Anyway....the babies are doing great. The DR said he likes to see them at 2 to 2 1/2 pounds right now. Walker is HUGE at a whopping 3 pounds! He's in the 90th percentile. Jocelyn is right on target at 2 pounds 8 ounces. She's in the 40th percentile. He said normally he'd worry about a half pound difference between the babies but since he has one that is on target and one that is big he's very happy with their progress. So are we!! My next appointment was supposed to be in 2 weeks but the DR will be out of town so I'm going back next Friday (Oct. 3rd). We got two great 3D pictures of Jocelyn which I will attach but no pictures of Walker. I guess he's really hard to get a good face shot of. We got lots of skull and leg bone pictures of him but I don't know if anyone wants to see those. LOL
As for me, I'm doing ok. Definitely feeling VERY exhausted these days. I wear out very quickly and I'm so glad I'm home. I truly spend the majority of my time laying down on the couch. The other small percent I am trying to get the babies stuff ready. I'm starting to nest like crazy and it's driving me nuts that I can't do everything that my mind would like me to do. LOL My baby shower 2 weeks ago went wonderfully!! I was so upset in my last blog that I forgot to mention that. The babies got lots of wonderful things and it was so nice to see everyone. :-)
Fetal Growth for 28 Weeks:
You know how you’ve been feeling a bit like a barn with legs? Well, that feeling won’t subside before… well, you know, when you finally give birth. For the time being, you’ve got yourself a baby in the business of collecting fat and lots of it! In spite of the dubious joys of being a human-barn, this baby fat business is very serious and you’ve got to put up with it because it’s going to keep your little porker warm and healthy after birth. Other good stuff from inside: their eyes are doing lots of blinking this week because they’re now able to respond to light and dark. Also, their industrious little bone marrow is now a major construction site for developing red blood cells, while their super-cute adrenal glands are actually producing androgen and estrogen—which will stimulate your hormones to begin milk production. Can you say, “Moo?”

So, you're home now? I thought you had to go back to work! It's great that you're home though...hopefully, it worked out well with your OB and your disability coverage!
