We're still working on crib sleeping. So no real change there..... Ho hum. In the next week or two we're going to get serious. We all just get SO much sleep now that it's tough to change. We need to though. They're getting too big to be comfy and I'm starting to get spasms in my back so I need to suck it up and have some sleepless nights. They're too young for CIO (cry it out) which I'm not huge on anyway but I'm about ready to give some serious sleep training a chance. I'm reading Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child and am going to try this method first. Most training theories begin around 3-4 months and most agree to use their due date for aging if they were born before it. This is for sleeping...not everything. It's more of a maturity thing I would guess. This week I'm going to start a sleep log of what they do now (without changing anything). Next week I'll be working on getting them in their cribs during naps and establishing a bedtime routine to include starting them in their cribs. The week after that is in their cribs all night no matter how tired I get. This has seriously been the hardest thing for me. By 4 months I really want them to be starting to have some sort of schedule and definitely sleeping in their beds.
The babies are loving kicking around on the floor and are starting to grab things!! We have a toy that they kick and it makes the toy do things. They love this!! We're still working on enjoying tummy time more. They do really like to sit up and hold their heads up great. They really love to smile and talk now and I think laughing is on its way shortly. They're also starting to interact with each other more and really realize the other one is there. It's very cute.
