I'm a little bit behind on the Blog but we've been a little on the busy side the past month. The best part is that Nick got to come home for 2 weeks leave for Christmas Exodus!! When he first got off the plane it took me a minute to recognize him!! For one thing there were a LOT of Army people getting off planes. The other is he has lost so much weight!!! Crazy what 10 weeks of Basic Training does! I told him I need to go on that diet/exercise after the baby comes! LOL He looks wonderful and it felt so wonderful to hold him and have him be with us again. The kids took a few minutes to figure out it was Daddy. The biggest issue was he had to wear his glasses because they don't allow contacts. Once he changed into his contacts they did much better. LOL They warmed up pretty quickly thank goodness and we found out that Walker is SUCH a Daddy's boy! He's been a bit whiny the past 2 months and once he was with Daddy he turned into this super happy chatty little boy. It was so wonderful to see. Jocelyn took a bit of time but we decided it was because she was mad at him for leaving. LOL Of course by the time she came around to fully forgiving him it was almost time for him to leave again SO that sucked! But it was great that we all got to spend some time together over the holidays. The first week he was home we FINALLY found out where we will be stationed! We are moving to Fort Bliss, Texas (El Paso) next month. Bliss was definitely not on our list and we are not desert people, not hot people, etc.... LOL BUT apparently that is what is in store for us and we are looking at the positives. After all of this horrible snow and cold I think we're now looking forward to the desert!!!
We all had a good Christmas. It was busy of course but we enjoyed seeing the kids having fun with presents. I think next year they'll understand it better. Nathan turned 18 on Dec. 5th. We can't believe he's already so old. He wants to go into the Army as well so we'll see how that goes. We'll talk to a recruiter once we get to El Paso.
Everything with my pregnancy is going well. I'm 26 weeks now and time seems to be flying. He is still a little mover and groover and my stomach just moves all over the place now. LOL
Sorry this is short but I'm running low on time. We took some great pictures this month that I hope you'll be able to take the time to look at. Here's the link:
