After four shots (and last night's went wonderful for some reason!!) we headed over to the doctor's office for a very early 7am appointment. We did bloodwork and an ultrasound. I'm still waiting on the bloodwork results (will edit to post that later) but I have the results of the ultrasound. Looks like my left ovary is busy again (that was the high roller last IUI cycle).
Left side has 5 follicles (probably more smaller ones). The sizes are:
7.7mm, 10.5mm, 11.1mm, 9.4mm, 8.1mm
Right side has 2 (hopefully more smaller ones that will grow!!):
10.8mm, 8.1mm
The amount and sizes didn't excite me but we've never been in there this early before. I'm guessing there will probably be more that pop up. I hope anyway! I want plenty of options for fertilization!! Nick keeps telling me- quality over quantity...but I still hope we get some more!! I can definitely tell the left side is working hard. I'm already starting to get uncomfortable and achy on that side. I'm not bloated or walking slower yet so I have that to look forward to. ;-) Other than that I'm just taking things in stride. I kind of feel better feeling activity down there and seeing results on the ultrasound screen. At least I know something is happening!! ;-) The shot definitely went better last night. I don't know if Nick just got a really good spot but I barely felt the needle. And it's a 1.5 inch needle - not 2. Apparently it just looks like 2 inches!! LOL The Repronex still stung but it was way better. SO now I wait to hear back from the doctor's office on how my estrogen (E2) levels look and if I need to change my medicine dosage and when to come in next. SO I'll update then....
****UPDATE**** Doctor's office just called and they want to "up" my dosage (I figured that would happen). I will now take 4 vials of Repronex (so 300iu) every night for tonight, Fri, and Saturday. Then Sunday I will go in at 7am for another ultrasound and bloodwork. She said most likely I'll start the Antagon on Sunday. My E2 (estrogen) level was 302. Looks like we have some work to do! Come on follies - grow grow grow!!!
