The nurse just called with fabulous news. I was getting a little nervous since it was noon and I hadn't heard anything yet. The details are:
- Retrieved 10 eggs (I knew I heard that nurse in recovery say 10! ;-) )
- 9 eggs were able to be placed with the sperm
- 8 eggs fertilized naturally (without ICSI!!) (the 9th was no good I guess)
SOO yeah!! I am so completely ecstatic right now! The nurse said she will call me tomorrow with an update. Right now we're still on for a 3-day transfer (Saturday). She'll tell me what time tomorrow. I am literally bouncing off the walls with excitement right now. PLEASE let them keep growing and be sticky sticky embies and implant and grow. LOL YES I am freaking out a little bit. This is as close to being pregnant as I've been in a really long time!
Now if we can just get those PIO (progesterone in oil) shots to hurt less we'll be in business! Those suckers hurt! My butt muscle from last night's shot still hurts! I think we'll definitely try warming up the progesterone bottle first and have the heating pad ready for me to sit on when we're done. I'm scouring the internet for tips and hints today.
