FET #1 - Here we go again!

While waiting for that wonderful visit from AF I took up Yoga and also started meditation again. Let me tell you - I LOVE YOGA! I think it could be my new best friend. First I got Kundalini Yoga - which is weird - but - makes you feel amazing afterwards. After some thought I decided it may be too vigorous in twisting for being "in cycle". I found a DVD called Yoga for Stress Relief. WOW! That's what I have to say about it - WOW! It makes me feel like I just got an amazing massage and a workout all at the same time. Not an intense workout - just stretching and feel like those wonderful endorphins are working their power. Very much worth the 15 bucks I spent on it! I also rented Yoga 4 Fertility with Brenda Strong. So far - so good. It seems a little more intense than my favorite, Yoga for Stress Relief, but it's supposed to help the blood flow "down there" so I figure I'll give it a shot until transfer.

So far the FET cycle is going pretty well. I got AF on Nov. 8th as scheduled. I started Estrace (estrogen tablets) on Nov. 9th (Cycle Day (CD) 2). I take 2mg tablets that are the size of birth control pills. Starting on CD2 I took 2 tablets a day for 3 days, then 3 tablets a day for 3 days, then 4 tablets a day until told otherwise. I'm up to the 4 now and before yesterday I felt pretty good. I had slight headaches off and on but otherwise felt great. Yesterday I was nauseous all morning and then in the afternoon I had hot flashes of all things! Hmm...perhaps I should not have gotten so excited about feeling great. Today I'm on my 3rd day of the 4 tablets and so far so good. I'm actually freezing cold so I'm hoping for a hot flash to come on soon! ;-)

On Monday (CD 12) I will go in for an ultrasound to see how my uterine lining is doing. If all is looking well then they'll tell me when to start the PIO (progesterone in oil) -- how I missed that stuff!! -- and when they'll thaw out my little frozen bambinos and when we'll transfer. I'm really hoping to transfer 3 this time around and hoping for twins. I know that seems kind of a silly way to think but with frozens they have a slightly less chance of taking and my theory is we put in 2 last time and 1 took. SO if we put in 3 this time maybe two will take! AND IF 3 take - I'll get a couple of opinions from specialists to see what they think my chance of carrying them safely is. I am really hoping this is it for us. We have 5 embies frozen so I'm really hoping to get 3 thawed safe and healthy. The nurse said we are tentatively scheduled for thaw either the day before Thanksgiving or the day after. I'm anxious to find out more info on Monday!!! Praying everything is going well and the lining is getting nice and cushy for my babies. :-)
