I've been doing a lot of research on how to get my meds cheaper than that lovely 4000.00 price tag my mail-order pharmacy through my insurance gave me. I narrowed my search down to 3 online pharmacies (all of which had WAY cheaper prices than that darn mail-order place). I finally decided on Schrafts as being the lowest for what I needed. They also have great discount programs if you don't have insurance coverage. I found the most helpful gentleman that ran all of my numbers and tried to find the most cost-efficient method for me to go with. He also took my insurance info to see if they would cover anything at all. We found out that I wasn't at my cap yet!!!!! I didn't have much left but at this point I'll take anything!!! I was able to get 15 vials of Repronex for my 50.00 co-pay. After that I'd have to pay "cost". SO, the amazing people they are, they called the pharmacy I had originally went to and transferred over my prescriptions for the Repronex and Ganirelix. I got the 15 vials now (in case insurance changes with the new year which they said sometimes happens) and then I can call back whenever I'm ready to get the rest and it will be under the discounted program since the insurance is now capped out!!! I am beyond excited as this now puts our price tag down to around 1500 for the Repronex and Ganirelix! MUCH more attainable within the next few months!! Also, we found out my insurance appears to cover the hCG (which they didn't at the last pharmacy) and the PIO is always covered as this is classified as a pregnancy drug instead of infertility. I am beyond excited right now! I'm beginning my little stock-pile of fertility drugs in my fridge and my RE's office said when we're ready I can call and do a pack of pills (birth control pills) and get my new IVF schedule. Things are looking brighter already and I'm feeling MUCH more positive about 2008!
Christmas was OK. I'm glad it's over to be honest. I ended up crying and was very emotional. Seemed like everything set me off. I'll be sad to take down my Christmas tree but I am more than ready to put 2007 behind me and jump feet first into 2008 with a great attitude. I had the flu yesterday and I'm still recovering today so I've put the gym off but I'm excited to go back tomorrow. I read not to concentrate so much on ab workouts when you are TTC so I'll probably not do so much of those. I'm interested in the Cardio Dance, Latin Fusion, and Fitness Yoga (and Pilates) classes. I'm kind of chicken to go though. I'm afraid I'm not "in shape" enough to make it through the class. I have an appointment with a personal trainer tomorrow to do some functional fitness thing (included in our membership) so I'm going to ask her how hard those classes are. LOL I'm a total wimp! I haven't lost any lbs. yet but I'm starting to feel a little tighter and my clothes are fitting better so somthing must be working!!! ;-) Anyway - things are looking up. I'm getting in better shape - mentally and physically - and I'm going to be ready to go when we have the money for this IVF. If I don't write more by the new year - HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!!! :-)
