WOOO HOOOO!!! We made it past our 10 week ultrasound. I am so happy, thankful, and relieved. We're so much closer to the 2nd trimester now and I do feel much better getting through today. The babies look great. I'm still feeling nauseaus and exhausted - which as soon as I get done with this I'm going to bed. :-) The nurse said my blood levels look great so I am to stop the PIO! How strange not to have a shot every day! I'm definitely going to be a little bit of a nutcase the next few days quitting cold turkey but all will be fine. When we did the ultrasound the nurse could already see the placentas so that was reassuring. Baby A's placenta is posterior and that baby is on the right side of my tummy. It's heartrate was 167. Baby B's placenta is anterior (which means it's going to be harder to get the hearbeat with the doppler) and that baby is deep on the left side of my tummy. It's heartrate was 162. They didn't move around too much. Maybe they like to sleep in the morning. :-) They are doing a lot of growing so I'm sure naps are important. Our next appointment is the Ultrascreen - also called the Nuchal Translucency Ultrasound. It also includes a blood test to give you the risk for Downs Syndrome and Trisomy 18. I honestly will not change a thing and I won't do an amnio but I would like to get the risks so that we could have the proper personnel there at delivery "just in case" and also I'm psyched about the long ultrasound!!! Here is a description of the test:
First Trimester Screening. NOW - on to the good stuff (As always - click on the picture to make it bigger) :-)
Baby A - The head is on the lower right. You can see the leg/foot sticking up in the upper left hand corner:

Baby B - Head is on the left - arm is kind of in the middle lower half of the picture. If you look close and use your imagination you can see the eyes!:

AND last but not least a Belly Shot:
