8 Weeks and we heard their beautiful hearts beating!

Well here are our little ones (Click on the picture and it will blow it up and you can see more details)!! Growing like little weeds!!! YAY!!! Their heads are both on the left side so Nick said Baby A's heads going to be in Baby B's butt pretty soon. LOL I'm sure they'll start squirming around soon. If you look closely there is a white circle/spot in the middle of the babies (harder to see on Baby B). WELL that is their little hearts! Cool huh? The experience was just beautiful and it was so exciting to see how big they have gotten! They are both right on schedule and their heartrates look great!! Baby A is at 161 and Baby B is at 180! Both are within the normal range. Maybe a girl and a boy??? ;-) According to First Trimester Ultrasound Scanning the babies are measuring right on schedule! Baby A's CRL (Crown to Rump Length) is 1.58cm (15.8mm) so that would equal 8 weeks 1.8 days. Baby B's CRL is 1.64 cm (16.4mm) so that would equal 8 weeks 2.4 days. This is how they come up with that:
Crown Rump Length: Gestational age = 6 weeks plus (CRL x days). This relies on the growth of the normal fetus of 1 mm per day after the 6th week of gestation. For example, a CRL of 16 mm would correspond to a gestational age of 8 weeks and two days (6 weeks plus 16 days = 8 weeks and 2 days).

Interesting eh? :-)

We're very happy and relieved that they are both doing so good. I'm of course praying that continues. My DR said that if we still have twins at 10 weeks (please God let us keep both of them!!!) then she'll probably have me go to a High Risk doctor which I am completely happy with. My friend who had triplets has a great one that is covered under my insurance so I'm hoping I can go with him. Anyway that's about it for now. OH yes - I suppose I'll include a lovely belly shot. :-) EEKS! Put your sunglasses on people because I'm white as a ghost!!! I've got some lovely just out of the shower hair. Sorry - I suppose if I'm going to post these I should really get ready more. :-)

Other than that, I'm still very tired, boobs still ache, the bathroom is my friend (peeing...not puking thank goodness). My nausea comes and goes. Some days it is very strong and ALL day long. Other days it's here and there. I'm getting more hungry lately which is good! The first part of this week I was so nausueas that I couldn't eat hardly anything. I have only gained a pound but (obviously) gained plenty in the tummy girth!! LOL One of these days I'll put together a Belly page. I've been keeping pics since the transfer. SO according to my wonderful acupuncturist I need to keep anxiety level down, let negative things go, and focus on me and relaxing and positive things. Goals for the next few weeks - yoga EVERY day. Even if it's just the 25 minute one because it destresses me SO much. THEN nap. :-) I'm off work today because our office decided they were going to do touch up painting last night and the fumes were killing me. I didn't want to stress out about it hurting the beautiful babies I just got to see so I came home. :-) I haven't heard from the doctor's office yet but I'm sure they'll tell me to come back at 10 weeks for the next ultrasound. Nick thinks I should just ask to come in next week to reassure me since we lost the last pregnancy in the 9th week and it would do wonders to reassure me. SO I'll attempt to get brave and ask when they call. :-) I'm just waiting on bloodwork results. Anyway - all's good. I think I'm going to take a nap. Hope you enjoy the pics!!
