7 Weeks!!

According to I-Am-Pregnant this is what our babies look like this week! Pretty exciting huh? Little arms and legs! I'm loving it! I'm more than half way through the first trimester and seeing the glass as half full! I'm still feeling very pregnant. I have standard symptoms that seem to be with me every day - such as being exhausted, peeing like crazy, boobs feeling heavy and tender, and a sensitive forhead to heat (I have NO idea what that is from but it seems pretty common for me when I'm pregnant). Then I have the nausea. It's very off and on in intensity. Some days I am nauseaus all day and all night and I'm constantly breathing through the waves and sometimes running to the bathroom just in case (no vomiting yet). Other days it's like a dull nauseaus feeling that's just laying in the background and not really bothering me so I'm absolutely starving and can't get enough food. Today - it seems I have both horrible nausea PLUS starving! I'm really trying to figure it out. I think I just ate too much because I feel awful right now. The tough thing is finding WHAT to eat. Beef and chicken have been a real turn off for me. It seems that ground beef is somewhat immune to that. I'm trying to find alternative protein sources since I read that is very important especially in twin pregnancies. I'm trying out cottage cheese which has been ok but I bought one of those with the fruit mix on one side and tried it today and it was a serious no-go and I felt horrible for spending almost 3 bucks on one container. Who knew?? SO I'm working on finding other things that my tummy is ok with.

Other things - still on PIO (progesterone) shots. They're so "normal" now that sometimes I really forget which side we're on and if I even did them already. Maybe it's just that I'm THAT tired. We're just very excited and feel so thankful that we have two little miracles on the way. I guess that Fortune Cookie back in March? was right - we have a lucky small package on the way!! :-) I still wish I could fast forward and safely be at like 14 weeks or so but for now I'm just taking it day by day and enjoying every moment with our little ones. Our next ultrasound is next Thursday at 8 weeks. I can't wait to see them again and I'm praying all is well and they're growing healthy and strong.

Sorry to hear about the annoying nausea...I had it too. My RE told me to eat a diet high in carbs (that tends to help with the nausea). I hope you start feeling better soon, but let me tell you I had on/off nausea into my 2nd tri (and still get it sometimes). Those hormone boosts we get as pregnant girls are hard to swallow, literally! GOOD LUCK!
