22 Weeks - does that really only equal 5 1/2 months??

SO - I was thinking - WOO HOO - 22 weeks - I'm really getting somewhere! Then I thought about it and broke it down and realized that's only like 5 1/2 months! Now I feel like - that's it??!!! Holy cow I have a ways to go. I also remembered that I had a picture of me pregnant with my son at the same time. Granted - this was 17 years ago (and I was 17 years old!!) and I started out a lot thinner but the difference is just amazing! I'll attach the pics below.

We had our 22 week appointment on Tuesday and sadly there are no new ultrasound pictures. We had an ultrasound - but it was quick and no pictures. I felt totally down the whole day. LOL I think I'm a little spoiled!! :-) Hoping for pics at the next one since we'll start the growth scans (to keep track how they are growing). The appointment went really well. Both babies look great. He went so fast I barely knew what I was looking at. I saw the lack of boy parts on the girl again so - again reassuring. LOL You know when you see a boy but you always have this fear that the girl might grow boy parts. LOL He said the hearts look great and overall they look "happy as clams". He did the cervical length scan and it's still at 5cm! Not budging there so that is great news. My blood pressure was a little high....147/75. SO a tad higher than 2 weeks ago but again they did not seem overly concerned. He wants to see me back in 2 weeks and still says I'm "sailing through". I asked when he thought he'd be taking me out of work and he said we can hold off if I'm feeling ok and want to stay at work unless something changes with me or babies. Seeing as how I'm already SO uncomfortable we'll see how long I last. He said between 24-26 weeks he'll start checking on my comfort level and really start on watching the babies growth and of course blood pressure, diabetes, etc... Our next appointment on the 27th will be the Gestational Diabetes test. The one where you drink that sugary stuff. Supposedly it's a lot better than it was 17 years ago - so we'll see! :-) Other than that - I'm feeling about the same. Just tired all the time mostly. I am getting much fuller faster, out of breathe way faster, and starting to get heartburn. SO much fun! LOL Maybe I'll stop gaining weight SO fast since I can't eat as much! :-)

Babies Update for Week 22:
The grow must go on! No wonder you’re getting so big, you’re now housing a wonder-baby who weighs nearly a pound and measures nearly a foot in length. Not to worry, all that excessive wrinkling is just their skin’s way of planning ahead for the time when they’ll start piling on that irresistible baby chub.
