8 Weeks Old

Our little love bugs turned 8 weeks old on Wednesday! They are getting so big! The size difference is really becoming noticeable. They are both eating and happy but Walker is definitely bigger than Jocelyn. She is just going to be our little peanut. :-) They both have moved to size 1 diapers and it seems most newborn outfits are too small now. It's kind of sad to put them away. They are so cute. The outfits from today are a bit big but it's chilly out and these were warm. They're definitely in 0-3 months but it seems different brands have different fits.

The "witching hour(S!!)" or "evening fussiness" has definitely started. It's not horrid but they're definitely more fussy and restless in the evening. I've decided it's about time to really put plan Move Babies Into Cribs into action. That way we can work on an earlier bedtime and get me in bed!!! They are doing much better during daytime naps about sleeping in their swings and Boppy loungers and I even get them to stay asleep in their cribs for a short time. I just want to get some reassurance from the DR and then next weekend we're doing it!! They both have choked in the middle of the night (either on spit up or stuffy nose drainage) and it scared the living daylights out of me so now I'm kind of scared to not have them on me! SO they have their 2 month appointment on Tuesday so I'm going to talk to the doc about that. They also are getting their first round of immunizations. I'm not looking forward to that. Other than that they are doing great. They give the best hugs ever and are just so sweet. They're smiling more often this week but still pretty random. We're getting there. The wait for the smiles are worth it. :-)

As for me, I'm doing good. I started exercising last week and even though I only manage to get in a 10 minute session every day I still have done it every day. I'm proud of that. I haven't lost much more weight yet but I do feel better. I'm not really watching what I eat yet so that would probably help. ;-) My DR said everything looked great at my 6 week check. Sadly ;-) he said my uterus has shrunk down to the point it's like I was never pregnant. SO the big tummy...blubber. ;-) He said my stomach muscles were really stretched out so it will take awhile to go down. The rest...apparently twin skin. I doubt I'll ever show my tummy again. I used to be so proud of my almost 6 pack. Ah well, it's all worth it for these two. They also asked me about birth control and since I'm breastfeeding my options are limited. I still think it's silly to even worry about it considering what we went through. The DR told us about a patient with triplets who said the same thing but when he examined her at her 6 week check she was pregnant!!! That was enough to scare the crap out of me. ;-) We're not ready for any surprise miracles just yet. :-) SO I'm starting a progesterone only birth control pill that is compatible with breastfeeding.

Here's some recent pictures:

A wink and a smile! (I got a smile on camera!!!)
