Well now that the twins are 8 1/2 months old I'm FINALLY getting around to writing their 8 month update. It's been a little nuts and doesn't appear to be slowing down any. My little munchkins are just all over the place now. They are crawling, pulling up on everything, transferring from one piece of furniture to another (or person) and walking with assistance. I am so proud of them. Now that they are this mobile they seem to be happier for the most part. For awhile there Walker was really frustrated a lot because Jocelyn was all over the place and he was stuck "swimming" on his belly. We were all VERY happy when he started crawling. For about 1-2 weeks it was a commando crawl and he quickly went to a quick "normal" crawl. Soon after that he was pulling up and doing everything Jocelyn is. We had to lower the crib mattresses of course and for some reason it makes them seem so old! I almost cried when I looked in their room and realized my babies are growing up. They are doing pretty good eating. They really aren't horribly into finger foods yet. I keep working on it here and there but they just aren't really ready. They really love the mesh food feeders with frozen fruit, fresh fruit, and ice cubes in them. They're getting the hang of puffs. All in all we're still on the mush. ;-) As for their schedule and sleeping. It's all a game of chance. Some days are great and others seem like they're just a mess. It's about the same for nights although it seems like waking twice a night is pretty standard. Midnight and 3am for Jocelyn and 1am and 4am for Walker. Just can't seem to move past that although Jocelyn only woke up at 12:30am last night and slept till 6:30 am. That was pretty good. Of course Walker woke 3 times to make up for her sleeping. Can't have Mom getting too much sleep now. ;-) They're nearly 9 months - they've GOT to start sleeping through the night someday right!???? Oh and no teeth yet. Other than that they are adorable little babies that I love dearly. They are so loving. They give the biggest hugs and the sloppiest kisses. They just melt my heart everytime they smile. I am so thankful every day for them and just am so excited to watch them grow.
My other news...yep I'm still pregnant. As far as I know everything is going well. I'm nauseaus and tired and peeing a lot. Everything an early pregnant woman should be doing. I got my bloodwork done and I'm not even posting my hcg number because I wasn't ecstatic about it for where they thought I was. I'm moving past the number because I have decided I have NO idea when I ovulated so it's pointless to obsess about a number. That and I don't have the money to pay out of pocket for a 2nd hcg test to see if it's doubling and my OB is very happy with the number as is so we're leaving it alone. I am glad I got my progesterone level done though. It was 20.7 and from what I can see not all that bad for a singleton natural pregnancy. The nurse called me back though and said my OB wanted me to start on Prometrium and continue for 4 months because it was on the low side of normal and she was taking no chances with me. I'm thankful for a proactive OB. The cost of the darn Prometrium was another story...114 bucks for a 30 day supply! REALLY hoping Nick's shipped off and we're started on Tricare before I need a refill! ;-) Other than that we are getting used to the idea of having another little miracle in our lives and we are looking forward to meeting this little one! :-)
As for Nick - so much for them saying we would definitely have an answer last Monday by 4pm! Here it is THIS Monday and they still don't know anything. Could be next week or the following week. Either way he's going this month and we need to get ready. It's weird thinking he'll be gone for 4 months. I guess I better get used to it. We're guessing that he'll deploy sooner than later. We're just hoping he'll have some time home with the new baby before then. We're also VERY anxious to find out where we're going to live! Hopefully we'll know sometime in October. Anyway - I'm sure babies will be waking up soon. Here's the links to the photo albums. There are a TON in the July album. I didn't realize how many until I got them up. I'm also including August to get you all completely updated. :-)

Oh Lisa, I'm so happy for you. I can't believe how much you have going on! Sounds like you are taking it all in stride.
I love your blog, and only wish, I could keep mine up! I get pictures, and that's about the best I can do!
I hear you in regards to looking in their cribs, Ryan is trying desperatly to climb out of his, it's only a matter of time. We need to get those mesh tents, and maybe a mattress on the floor.
I looked in on them last night and realized that they are so looong! Doesn't it seem like just yesterday we were excited we were finally pregnant? And you get to go through it again this year! :o)
Seriously, I'm thrilled for you!
I hope you get some rest soon. Walker and Jocelyn are absolutly BEAUTIFUL, and they have grown so much!
Be well!
The babies are looking so big and so adorable - growing up so fast. I'm so happy for you that your pregnancy is going great...praying it continues this way for you! Sorry to hear Nick is beign deployed for 4 months - it will be a lot of work with you being pregnant and caring for the twins on your own - good luck honey!
