9 Months Old!

My little babies are getting to be big babies! They are 9 months old today and I'm definitely getting to the point of feeling like it's finally getting "easier". They're sleeping through the night. I'm sleeping through the night (except the couple of times I have to pee thanks to the new little one!). We're all a little more rested and can deal with things a little better. They're doing much better drinking more formula at a time and hopefully we'll start on finger foods more soon. The Pediatrician said they're definitely ready to start eating "table" food so I guess I need to do that more. They tend to gag and choke easily so I've been holding off. She said to maybe try more "wet" finger foods than dry. Like bananas, avacodos, boiled potatoes, canned anything basically. SO we'll give that a try. They had their 9 month appointment on Monday and they're doing great!

Walker is 20 lbs 10 oz and 28 inches tall!
Jocelyn is 17 lbs 15 oz and 26 inches tall!

The DR is very happy with them and says they're just perfect. They're both crawling like they've been doing it forever, pulling up to standing, cruising on furniture, transferring from one thing to another, and standing on their own for a few seconds here and there. Jocelyn loves to walk with help. Walker's still not super excited about that one yet. They still have no teeth. Grandma W says that their Daddy didn't get his first tooth till after a year old so they must just be late teethers. Ah well. They are both saying Mama and Dada. They say some Baba but no clue what that means or if they even know what mama and dada means. Walker is very into shaking his head yes and no but not sure if he knows exactly what it means. Although one night I was trying to get him ready for bed and told him to come lay down so we could change his diaper and he shook his head no. Little turd. ;-) He was sitting awfully quiet so I said are you going poopy? He shook his head yes. I said shall we wait a minute then? He shook his head yes and then a few minutes later when I said if you're done then let's lay down and get your diaper changed and he crawled over and laid down! LOL SO funny. Seemed like he understood but bizarre if he did. ;-) Normally diapering is NOT my favorite thing because they both try to get away as soon as the diapers off. SO not fun. Learning how to hold them down with my leg. LOL They're also entering the not so wonderful stage of bruises all over their sweet little heads. I hate this stage! They get confident about the standing and all that and seem to slip easier and then kaboom. They both have some nice bruises on their heads. I wish I could wrap them in bubble wrap and helmets!! Hoping we can keep them bruise free here soon so we can get some good 9 month portraits and some good ones with Daddy before he leaves for the Army.

Here's a hilarious video of Jocelyn's new laugh and a couple shots of Walker. I'll try to get some more videos uploaded soon!

I'll leave you with a link to the rest of August's photos:

Twins 8-9 Month Photos (August) If you go to page 6 in the Album there's a picture that says NEW PHOTOS START HERE. That's the start of the ones where I left off from the last photo link I put on here. Enjoy and I'll be updating next week after our 8 week OB appointment for the new little one.

And that cute porcelain teapot behind Jocylyn is just begging to be smashed by one of your growing babies ;-)
